The Humanist Union of Madison will again be sponsoring the Human Light holiday party at the Prairie Unitarian Universalist Society Meeting House. We will start gathering at 5 pm for refreshments and conversation, and a family potluck dinner will begin at 5:30. Around 6:30 we will be entertained with international music by the Continental Drifters (Ruth Calden and Rosemarie Lester). Then we will all have a chance to sing secular seasonal songs, a couple from the repertoire of the Raging Grannies of Madison, and some from our HumanLight songbook (http://humanist.madisonwi.us/HumanLightSongs2006.pdf). We will conclude with a little folk dancing (to recorded music) if there is interest. All Madison area humanists, skeptics, freethinkers and friends are invited, including any friends or relatives you have visiting from out of town.
If you just want to come for the music, drop by around 6:30 pm. If you are coming for the potluck, an RSVP to this email will be appreciated so that we know how many tables to set up. (If you have a favorite folk dance you would like to teach, I would really appreciate hearing about that.)
