Hey everyone! It is summer in Maine. Let's get together at 224 Anderson Street in our beloved East Bayside. Let's listen to some live music, drink some brews, and enjoy summer. This is a benefit for the Maine Tool Library. There is absolutely no cost to this event, but donations are welcome. We have an awesome steel drum band coming to entertain us! Come have some fun!
No need to be a member of the library to come to the party. Just come show your support!
About the Maine Tool Library:
The Maine Tool Library (MTL) is a not-for-profit lending library, circulating a collection of tools, including gardening, landscaping, home improvement, and kitchen tools in Portland Maine. This entity is a membership-based community resource; it is a library for tools instead of books. Tools are loaned on a weekly schedule, allowing patrons to check them out during the library’s open hours with the expectation that they will then return them a week later. Acquisitions are strategically selected by elected members with continual opportunities for member input. MTL is a volunteer-run, self-governed entity which aims to be an inclusive network among laborers, designers, makers, crafters, artists and D.Y.I.ers in the vibrant Portland community.
We have been open for a couple months now. We have been having a lot of fun getting to know our new members. Come check us out!
