Permaculture-related Conference in Belfast, ME

  • Nov 10, 2006 · 12:00 PM
  • Hutchinson Center

This event is not put on by our group, but I am posting here since there may be some strong interest in cross-pollination on this topic: Last year some of us attended the 2nd Annual conference by ESTIA (an international eco-peace community) which focused on the role of permaculture in eco-village design. This year the conference looks to be focusing on the components of building an eco-peace village (a sub-category of intentional community). You can bet that alot of permaculture will be discussed, especially with Charles & Julia Yelton on the agenda. Other speakers include Eliot Coleman (Maine's own four-season harvest guru), Richard Graves (of the Maine Chapter of the US Green Building Council), and many more... **NOTE THAT YOU MUST CALL THE NUMBER BELOW TO REGISTER ** We can't technically take RSVPs for their event at this meetup site. I'm pasting their agenda here for your reference - I don't *think* they have a web site for the event.
