How did you find this particular group? (word of mouth? internet? etc.)

I am interested in learning to forage for mushrooms and edible plants (a la "Stalking the Wild Asparagus", so I searched for "mushrooms" on meetup.

What interests you about this particular group?

It sounds like a great way to learn to reduce my carbon footprint and meet with others that have similar interests.

Are you living/gardening/growing predominantly in an urban, suburban or rural setting?

I have lived in Maine most of my life. However, in my travels I have seen how rewarding it can be to live simply - without all the stuff we Americans think we need - and to survive primarily off what you can grow and fish.
