Winter Cache Project Update - Some Changes

Greetings new and old WCP friends!

We wanted to update you on some changes that The Winter Cache Project has taken for this season, and beyond.

We have moved to a membership model, in which members pay a sliding scale monetary contribution to the project and also complete a set number of hours during the season. We are still entirely volunteer run and this year we have 28 member shares (!) and the season is off to a great start out at Winslow Farm in West Falmouth. Each year, we will re-open membership. We have made these organizational changes for various reasons and over much dialogue, and plan to stay close to our mission and vision.

We will be having "open farm work days" in which non-members can come out and work and take home some summer vegetables. Keep a look out for those email invitations! Non-members are also always welcome to join us on the farm and be apart of the community. We will not, however, distribute the winter storage veggies that we grow to "anyone ---" food will be reserved for members and any extra food we grow will be donated.

Lastly, we are in need of two things, and of course we will exchange your donations and help for veggies!:
*Shelving for our 6 by 6 greenhouse. Plastic shelving would be preferable.
*Wood Chips
*Extra Seedlings

Have a great summer and we hope to stay connected,
