OK - it's cold and windy, but hopefully we're all thinking about soil and seeds and sunshine and things growing....How are you spending February and March?

We're refining some of our plans, getting ready for the first pruning on our grapes/apples/kiwis, making a plan to install a solar hot water system and thinking about what we'll grow ourselves vs. get from our CSA membership.

Oh yeah, and getting ready for the hatchling to arrive:) in April.

Having just finished reading Gaia's Garden which I find chock full of practical information, I want to go back to all those underlined places and begin working on our Plan, esp. by choosing plants for guilds to chaperone the 8 trees we already planted.

I also need to start reading Graham Bell's The Permaculture Garden for our March 27 discussion -- as soon as Longfellow Books calls to say it has arrived.
