Check out the Ukulele Harmonic Convergence on March 2nd in Lancaster and join over 100 uke players in sets led by great fellow ukulele players interspersed with 2 song performances by uke groups from miles around.
If any want, you may choose practice and play on stage with the PMLUG by going to Wayne to practice with the others there or practice the selected songs along to the videos that'll be posted on the UHC Meetup site. It is a different experience to practice a song as a performance coordinated with the others. If that makes you happy, great, otherwise, come and enjoy being in the company of many uke players.
Come join our Ukulele Jam in West Chester! We're a supportive, genial group of adults who are here to have fun. We meet every Wednesday evening at The Hickman (a Friends Senior Community) at 400 N. Walnut Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
Age range is adult only: high school onward! We welcome all levels of ability in playing and singing. If you're just starting and have played 3 cords, you'll fit right in. If you're more advanced, you'll fit in too!
Enter the building, sign in at the reception desk and the kind receptionist will direct you downstairs to the room. There is an elevator you can take too.
Bring a music stand and the Blue Book, The Daily Ukulele - Leap Year Edition: 366 More Songs for Better Living by the Beloffs. We also play from the binder of songs we've collected and keep at The Hickman for our group to share. If you don't have a book or stand come anyway and share with any one of us.
If you have a song to share, bring that along and 10 or so copies so we can include it in our binder of songs.
We go around the circle taking turns choosing a song and starting it. You can choose or pass, whatever you like. We started a 'share a song' where you may play a song for the group you've been especially practicing.
Often some of the residents join us which is always fun.
It's a great time! We have to depart promptly at 8, which is sometimes hard to do when we're having so much fun!
