Monetizing your Product, Service or Technology

So you have a product ready for market entry?  Or you filed your provisional/non provisional application and/or received a patent, trademark or copyright registration- now what?  When and How do I start making money off my Product or IP?  Licensing is just one way and there are pitfalls and benefits all inventors, entrepenurs, start ups or early stage companies must be aware of?  David Postolski will discuss these issues as well as the anatomy of a license agreement as will other ways to monetize and commercialize your IP including patent brokers, auctions, enforcement through litigation, non practicing entities, universities and private equity funds.

This will be a very interactive presentation intended to help you build a useful body of knowledge and also answer any questions or concerns.  In fact, registrants are encouraged to submit questions prior to the meet up to ensure all your questions are addressed!

David Postolski is an intellectual property and patent attorney with Day Pitney's Patent Practice Group and their Trademark, Copyright, and Advertising Groups.  David specializes in assisting inventors, creators, start ups, entrepreneurs, early stage companies, and emerging companies with their U.S and International intellectual property strategy, protection, enforcement and monetization.  David remains very involved in the creation of New York state's first federally approved patent pro bono program in conjunction with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. David's leadership positions with the ABA Intellectual Property Law section has allowed him to be involved in exciting initiatives such as teaching K- graduate teachers how to incorporate intellectual property into nationwide classrooms across and be a frequent speaker and author on intellectual property issues surrounding reward and equity crowdfunding.

Hey David, simply upload the ppt to slideshare.net and share the link. Slideshare was also a startup :)

I learned so much from this presentation. However, I always have a hard time when the speakers say 'ask a question anytime during my presentation'. It becomes choppy and they never get to finish what they came to do. Thankfully, this speaker was truly professional and stayed the course. I hope to join the other monthly meetings. Really inspiring to this novice.
