The 7th Sons Classic Rock Band features Jake Baker, a singing drummer from The Jefferson Airplane Family of recording and touring artists. Jake and his band "One" were discovered in their hometown of Bolinas by Grace Slick and Paul Kantner in 1969 when he was just 17 and signed to the RCA Grunt Records label. He is also 12th cousin to John Lennon and 13th to George Harrison and played for John and Yoko's private party in SF in 1971.

Jake formed The 7th Sons in 2008 to feature his own singing and drumming after supporting such local favs as Judge Murphy (Zero, Lansdale Station), Joe Tate, Eugene Huggins, Tommy Thomsen, and so many others for many years.

His latest version of The 7th Sons backup band features stellar East Bay ringer musicians Rob "The Wizard" Rayle on keys (head keyboard sound programmer for Roland Corp), Daphne Butler + Paul Paveo (Heartless-Benatar Band), and Jordie Latini (our young guitar prodigy).
