November/December 2016 MPC Meetup Challenge
As photographers, water offers us reflection, movement, sparkle, color and leading lines. Whether it's tears, rain drops, running rivers, or ocean waves, water can play a significant role in storytelling via images. The challenge for the November/December 2016 challenge is to realize a role for water in your visual story. Let us know how water adds to the drama or is a character in the story you capture with your camera.
Your photograph must be taken between the dates of November 13, 2016 and December 31, 2016 (New Year's Eve!). As you upload and caption your image, let us know WHEN you took the picture and how WATER played a role in the story in your photograph. We want to hear about the story!
DO NOT upload an old, archived image please. Photographs for this challenge must be taken between November 13, 2016 and December 31, 2016.
· THE IMAGE FLOW, our great MPC sponsor in Mill Valley, will print the winning photograph on high quality archival paper, suitable for framing.
· Another generous MPC sponsor, THINK TANK PHOTO, is giving the winner of the challenge a camera bag. You can check out the bag at this link:

Upload your image to this Album:
Below your photo (on the left) click on “add caption” and box will appear so you can date and title your image and the story you were trying to tell. (207 characters).
On Sunday, January 1, 2017 come back, comment, and VOTE (only once) for your favorite image. Voting will close on Thursday, January 5th at 10pm.
HOW TO VOTE: Vote by leaving a comment using the word VOTE like, “This one gets my VOTE” in the comment section under your favorite photo. It’s more fun and peer supportive to vote and comment publicly. However, if you must vote confidentially, send me an email ([masked]) with your VOTE and I will post it as anonymous.
IMPORTANT VOTING RULE: In the spirit of peer support, good sportsmanship and healthy competition, VOTING for your OWN image is not allowed.
The image with most VOTES wins the challenge as long as that person VOTES.
YOU MUST VOTE in order for your image to win the challenge, even if your image gets most votes. Anyone in the Meetup group can vote and comment, whether submitting an image or not.
Have some fun with this challenge!
