Join ecologist Charlie Davis and naturalist Lloyd Tydings for a Songs of Insects walk around the Carrie Murray Nature Center. We'll listen to insect songs and try to catch a glimpse of the singers: katydids and crickets.
This walk will help you get ready to participate in Cricket Crawl 2014—an evening sound census of late summer insects on August 22. As we walk we’ll focus on the eight target species of the Crawl. To preview and listen to those eight, and to learn about the Cricket Crawl itself, visit http://tinyurl.com/7y5trym or download the insect songs from https://soundcloud.com/cricketcrawl2013 .
