This will be an all-levels course. There will be discussions for beginners (and anyone else that wants to hear) on firebuilding, shelter building, and water sourcing. More practiced participants will be challenged according to their level.
Special topic for this course will be how to trap or snare and then deal with small game. I will be bringing rabbits for this purpose. You don't have to participate, but please be aware that this will be an activity. We will discuss issues surrounding food sourcing, preservation, and ethics at the time of the activity. As a result, course cost will be slightly higher for this course to cover the cost of the rabbits.
Please make sure you bring a sharp knife for field dressing, and please also bring 6-8 meters of wire for practicing making snares. You can go to The Snare Shop (http://info.snareshop.com/choosing-theright-snare.html) for a good overview of snares and wire, then just go to a hardware store to get some wire.
Let me know if you have any questions. See you there!
