Voting is now closed and this month's topic is:

Green Jobs, Labor and the Environment: What Might Be Done in the DC Metro Area?

Date: Thursday, November 18, 2010, 7 pm - 9 pm
Location: The Party Room of The Hawk and the Dove, 329 Pennsylvania Ave. SE (Capitol South Metro Stop)
As the nation struggles to survive high levels of unemployment, the creation of "green jobs" is shaping up as a possible organizing goal to unite organized labor, low-income Americans and environmentalists around a common project. This month's Socialist Salon will focus on the possibilities of a green jobs agenda. We will also talk about how the midterm results might affect this agenda. Monica Potts, Associate Editor of the American Prospect, has been invited to join our discussion. Our guest wrote the cover story for the latest issue of the magazine, which is about green jobs.

The Party Room at the Hawk & Dove is off a corridor that's directly opposite to the bar, behind the door in that corridor on the right. If you turn off the little corridor to the left, you're at the rest rooms.

If you have questions about the event please call Jose A. Gutierrez at[masked].
