Case Mountain- Mystery Hike! (Hike Level- Moderate) Limited Space available

Hike Level:  Moderate, Single Track, Some Hills, Stream Crossings

Hike Start Location: Case Pond Lot, on Birch Mountain Rd. Manchester

Hike Start Time:  10:00 AM

Hike Distance:  4.0 Miles

Hike Duration:  About 2+ hours

Water on Trail For Dogs:  YES- But BRING some for your dog to be safe


Our leaders work to ensure a safe environment at all activities.  While safety is a priority, Manchester Dog Owners Group, Inc. (MDOG) has no control over the condition of the trails.   Hikers hike at their own risk.  MDOG shall not be held liable for any damage(s) hikers or their dogs incur while at an MDOG organized event/activity (including, but not limited to, MDOG Hikes).  All hikes are organized as a group.  MDOG asks all individuals to stay with the group.  MDOG shall not be held responsible for hikers/dogs who become lost.  Hikes may be steep or have difficult terrain.  New hikers should consult a physician before starting any exerting activities.  MDOG reserves the right to discern if a dog should be leashed and owners (group or individual) may be asked to do so.  Owners should be aware of any property laws for hikes and are responsible for any and all fines and damage(s) incurred by themselves and/or their dog(s).

The Hike: It's a mystery! The route will be revealed the day of the hike. This will be a longer hike so bring a snack and extra water, it may be HOT! If you have to be back by a certain time this may not be a good hike to go on.

This will be a nice hike!

Direction to Case Pond Lot Manchester, CT

From the south take 91N to 84E to 384E

From the north take either 91S to 84E to 384E or take 291S to 84W/384E

From the west take 84E to 384E

From the east take 84W to 384E

Take Exit 4, "Highland Street"
Stop sign at end of ramp. Take left and then a right at traffic light on to highland street.. Highland park market will be across the street.

Follow highland street and take first right after you go under the bridge on to Birch Mountain Road. The Case Pond Lot is on your right just after you turn on to Birch Mountain Road.
