Resource: On Being with Krista Tippett

From: TomC
Sent on: Saturday, October 12, 2013 7:48 AM

For those who are looking to cultivate insight and inspiration in their lives, Krista Tippett has a weekly radio show on NPR, 6am on Sunday mornings (I know, a little on the early side for some of us) in which she interviews inspiring people who tell their stories and wisdom. She also publishes video content of those interviews, called In The Room, two of which I am posting here with Sylvia Boorstein, veteran Buddhist meditation teacher (unfortunately the link function is disabled, you may need to cut and paste the URL).

A short guided metta (lovingkindness) meditation: http://www.onbeing.org/blog/lovingkindness-metta-meditation-sylvia-boorstein/2599

The complete one-hour interview, What we nurture: http://www.onbeing.org/program/what-we-nurture/feature/room-sylvia-boorstein/338

I also recommend the talk with Jean Vanier, The wisdom of tenderness, on 8/22/13, a true living saint whose presence is both captivating and inspiring. Also check out Nadia Bolz-Weber, 9/05/13, a tattooed Lutheran minister who presents some fresh views on church, tradition, and the sacred. They're all listed on the archive page:

Hope you enjoy this resource. Please share your own in our discussions section where you can post links to sites, books, and local events for our members.

Enjoy this day,
