The class is taught by monks trained in the Theravada Buddhist Tradition. All of the techniques we teach in this class are simple, useful and down to earth. Don't be nervous if you've never been to a monastery or meditation centre before. The atmosphere at the monastery is peaceful, welcoming and very friendly.
The Buddha Meditation Centre of Greater Toronto is part of the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery (http://mahamevnawa.ca/) (pronounced maha-may-oo-NA-wa). We've been at our present location in north Markham since 2008 and have over 500 individual members from all across the GTA.
