Who are we? In the fall of 2010 the End of Days (E.O.D.), was established as an obstacle course training program. The program was developed to give all athletic levels (couch potato to super athlete), the practical experience, training and knowledge into effectively negotiating an obstacle course race without fear (or to reduce the feeling of fear). The E.O.D. motto: The End of Days...... of Fear The End of Days...... of Self Doubt The End of Days...... of Excuses Welcome to your next Evolution!!
What is an obstacle race? An obstacle race is a series of challenging physical stations, meant for fun for the average, the athletic, an individual or as a team. These races aim to test speed and endurance and include running (or walking), climbing, jumping, crawling, swimming, balancing, and perhaps even special challenges of ice water, electrical wires and yes, zombies. Sometimes a course involves mental skill as well!
What is our program about? The E.O.D. program is based after the U.S. Army’s Special Forces “Selection” prep training program. For years, the military obstacle course has been used as a way to familiarize recruits with the tactical movements, physical training, building teamwork, and evaluating problem solving skills to be used in combat. Typical courses involve obstacles the participants are to climb over, crawl under, balance, hang, and jump. Puddles of muddy water, ropes/nets, and "no touch" restrictions are often used to make the course more difficult. The obstacle courses are normally outside and are met to familiarize and acclimatization of the recruits to the current outdoor environment they will be performing in. Why join our group? Many people ask me what they should do to prepare for these “O” races. Many say crossfit style routines, gymnastics rings, or other types of high intensity videos or gyms. Get outside and back to basics! Join our group because we are: • Self-paced • FOR All fitness levels • Focus on Injury Prevention & Safety • Members with knowledge of races • Here to help prep for races (before, during and after) • unique with access to train and practice on military posts • MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN Welcome to the next Evolution!
