This is a group for anyone interested in mindfulness practice and improving self-regulation. All skill levels are welcome. Several mindfulness groups for various ages and demographics run throughout the week. The groups consist of guided meditation, discussion, and a short lesson in various meditative practices.

The Serenity Center is rooted in traditional Jewish values and existential philosophy but its approach to mindfulness is non-denominational and is respectful of all faiths and practices. No previous experience is necessary to participate except when noted.

Twice-weekly (Sun and Wed) guided mindful meditation group with a short lesson and a follow-up inquiry. Focus on reducing anxiety and depression, and improving impulse control. The practice involves elements of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Once-weekly participation is expected, twice-weekly encouraged. We begin each session with brief introductions, followed by a 5-7 minute class on mindfulness and then go into a 15 minute guided meditation. Sessions close with a short inquiry into members' meditative experience and corrective feedback.
