Marathon Training 2019: Sunday Long Run

Aloha! You don’t have to be signed up for the marathon to train with us - even though that is our main focus for this session. Only half our runners are registered for the Honolulu Marathon. We also help beginners, walkers, losing weight, and just trying to get better health! August 8 to December 8 18 weeks/ 3 sessions per week Tuesday and Thursdays 6 pm and Sundays 6:30 am Kapiolani Park and various locations Open to all levels, different groups will be formed to best meet the needs of runners and walkers. Beginners, walkers, keiki, and baby strollers are welcome. Our long run starts at 9 miles and builds up gradually until December. The runs will generally be an out and back. So, you can adjust the distance of your run according to your own personal goal, and still be on the same route as everyone else. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message me. Marathon Training 2019 - You don't have to be registered for the Honolulu Marathon. We welcome all levels of runners including keiki, strollers, walkers, beginners, getting back in shape, running PR's, or those focused on other races. On Tuesday - we will be meeting at Ala Moana Beach Park most of the time, with other venues being the Ala Wai Golf Course, Kapiolani Park, Kakaako Waterfront Park, and school tracks. QK Run Club every Thursday

Queen Kapiolani Hotel

Thursdays - please note our new meeting place in 2019! 6 pm at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. Meet in the lobby by the large mural. Free and open to all levels. Afterwards, hang out with us and rehydrate on the DECK, or Knotts Coffee Roasters, located inside the hotel. Free parking is available in the Waikiki Shell parking lot. (I jog over to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel a few minutes early for a warmup.)
