The Hawaii Running Project will be putting together it's own team to run 134 miles around the perimeter of Oahu. Starting 7 am at Kapiolani Park. Each runner will run approximately 3 mile legs, until they return some time on Sunday morning. Aloha! Join us this week at one of our four training sessions. Tuesday 6 pm at the Ohana Hale Marketplace (333 Ward Ave.) for a shorter interval run. Wednesday 9 am the same location as above. Walk and Run Club powered by Phiten Hawaii. Everyone is welcome. We will split up into different paced walk and run groups. Saturday 7 am at the Kapiolani Park bandstand. This is a timed 5K run. It's 1-1/2 times around Kapiolani Park. Sunday 6:30 am at a location to be determined - for a long run. Turn around at any point, and meet us back at start. We will try to split up into different paced groups as best as possible. Questions? Every Wednesday at 9 am: Walk and Run Club powered by Phiten Hawaii. All levels welcome. Different Walk and Run routes available to Kakaako, Waterfront, and Ala Moana Beach Park. We do a warm up before walking/running, and then stretch afterwards. The shops open at 10 am, so we can get a drink or food!
*** Note: Cancelled until further notice (Thursday only) due to social distancing measures. We hope to meet again when the visitor industry and hotels are re-opened. Please stay safe and healthy. Aloha Thursdays we meet 6 pm at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel in the lobby near the large mural. Free and open to all levels. Afterwards we do some core exercises and stretching. Rehydrate at Knotts Coffee Roasters, or enjoy a Dole whip, both located inside the hotel. Free parking is available in the Waikiki Shell parking lot. (walk or jog over to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel a few minutes early for a warmup.) Questions? Text or call Coach Kawika at[masked]
