What we're about

ECBC is about celebrating Manchester and the culture and community we have. Nowadays it can be too easy to be lonely or feel isolated from the world - I have created this group to try and help those who feel anxious about meeting new people or joining clubs/sport groups.

Having a hobby or a weekly activity also has a vital impact on your mental health, when I was suffering with depression it was hard to find the motivation to do something with my day other than go to work, but when I started reading again, listening to podcasts, going to the gym - it gave me motivation to keep going.

I want to use this group to help those who are struggling or may be new to the City and need help finding their feet or who want to join a group but are too anxious to make that first move and attend a club session. This group is also welcome to those who wish to find out more about Manchester's culture and perhaps want to start a new hobby or meet new people.
