In these times of unprecedented uncertainty, many of us are feeling anxious, scared and overwhelmed. Fear seems to be as contagious as the virus itself, and, just like a virus, fear wreaks havoc on our immune system; keeping us in ‘fight or flight’ mode, where it is impossible to think clearly, rationally and for our greater good.
Through conscious connected breathwork we can bring ourselves out of fear state, out of ‘fight or flight’ mode, and into a state of calm, into ‘rest and digest’ mode, which we experience as a state of peace, calm and safety. When we are calm we can regain power over our thoughts and feelings, we can get clarity on the situation we find ourselves in, and we can open up to the deeper messages Mother Nature is sending us at this time, the lessons she is offering us - both as individuals as well as a collective, unified whole.
Current global events are something to be really curious about, and it seems no coincidence that we have been gifted the opportunity to fully reflect on this, in this time of self isolation (and for many, time out of work) to explore fully. But we can only do this if we find a way to get out of panic mode, and into flow state - which Breathwork can enable us to do.
