What we're about

This is a support group for men and women based on the philosophy and books of Geneen Roth (Feeding the Hungry Heart, Breaking Free From Emotional Eating, When Food is Love, and more). If you are curious about mindful eating and how it can help you change your relationship to food and eating; If you are frustrated with your relationship with food; if you struggle with overeating, emotional eating, or binge eating; and if you are sick of yo-yo dieting, following the guidelines of Geneen Roth and eating mindfully can help. Mindful eating is a practice where you learn to trust and listen to what your body is telling you about hunger and satisfaction. It helps you become aware of how best to nourish yourself. It allows you to break free from diets and restrictive food plans and to truly honor your body. It allows you to experience food freedom.

We will begin with a short mindful meditation and quick check in. We will then do a reading from one of Geneen's Books (or listen to a part of her audio-books). After that the meeting will be open for sharing and discussion. Each person will have approximately 3-5 minutes to share. We will then close with a short mindful meditation. The room is on the left as you walk in the building. Off street parking and a parking lot across the street is available.
