This class is now available online through zoom. This class is for you to unwind into your weekend, stretched out, relaxed and with your intentions set! We start by warming up with a few rounds of Sun Salutation, connecting with the body and breath. We take posture practice, maintaining focus on the breath and sometimes awareness of the Chakra energy centres, incorporating the use of mudras (hand gestures). We spend the last half hour in breath work and meditation practice, finishing with a long relaxation. The meditation is sometimes a breath meditation, sometimes a mantra meditation. I am now running this class weekly through zoom, so you can practice from your own home. Book in via the About Balance studio website: https://www.aboutbalancebrighton.com/timetable/ You will need to pay £3 through Mindbody. Once signed in, I will email you the direct zoom link 15 minutes before class. In this class, we begin with about one hour of asana practice, followed by half an hour of pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and relaxation. I also like to incorporate the use of mudras, mantras, and sometimes awareness of the Chakras. A great way to end the weekend with intention setting, ready for a good nights sleep after the lovely long relaxation :)
This class is now available for you to take online through zoom. We begin with Hatha style yoga, including Sun Salutations and posture practice with a focus on breath awareness. Towards the end of the session we come into a restorative pose. Restorative poses use bolsters, blocks, blankets and eye pillows, enabling you to be fully supported. This brings you to a deep relaxation, and then we finish with a lovely Savasana. Hopefully you leave the class feeling stretched out, and very relaxed. This class is now available through zoom, so you can join in from your own home. A gentle paced and mindful Hatha style class, allowing the space to enjoy postures. Sometimes including mudra, pranayama breath work, and awareness of the Chakra energy centres. Payment is on a trust basis. Either pay what you would usually pay for a class, or make a donation of what you can afford.
