What we're about

This meetup is for business professionals who work with stakeholders to understand business need and deliver organizational change and business solutions to meet those needs. The Bluegrass IIBA Chapter brings a business analysis program to the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, known as the Bluegrass State. We are the local chapter of the world-wide professional association for business analysts, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). We are here to bring together the Bluegrass community of professionals who deliver organizational change to promote best practices in delivering better business outcomes. To this end we have launched the Kentuckiana Branch (http://bluegrass.iiba.org/Kentuckiana) to serve the business analysis professionals in and around Louisville, KY and Southeast Indiana.

Bluegrass IIBA Chapter has a tweet wall ( https://walls.io/z5vzv ) to add to the attendee experience of the meeting.

Coaching Isn't Just For Agile Coaches Anymore

Topic: Coaching Isn't Just For Agile Coaches Anymore Coaching is a useful skill that anyone can learn and apply, whether you are an Agile Coach or not. Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts and others in the Agile environment can use these coaching techniques to build stronger relationships to improve work. Quickly learn about the coaching mode of Agile Coaching from five fun games. In "Flash Card Coaching," you will witness the power of powerful questions and the value of coaching by using only preset questions to do a full coaching session. There are three categorization games where you will work together in small groups to learn about powerful questions, giving advice, and the differences between the 4 modes of Agile Coaching. Finally, there are two "Choose Your Own Coaching Adventure" games. These are just like the old "Choose Your Own Adventure" games. Your choices lead down a path that either leads a successful coaching outcome or an unhappy coachee. Each unhappy ending comes with an explanation and you can always back up and try again. Learning objectives: • Agile coaching techniques any team member can use • 4 modes of Agile coaching • Applying these coaching techniques to assist others to learn This workshop includes audience exercises; therefore, remote attendance will not be available.
