Calling all outdoor fitness enthusiasts in the Tampa area! This group is for people in the Tampa area who want to walk and chat their way to better health. Our walks are typically 3 to 5 miles and amblers, strollers, stragglers, and power walkers are all welcome. Please check with your doctor before starting this or any other fitness program.
By becoming a member, you and your guests (if any) agree to attend any and all events voluntarily and at your own risk and will indemnify and hold harmless the Group, all Organizers/Event Hosts, other members/guests and Meetup from any and all claims or liability (including court costs and legal fees). This includes, but is not limited to, injury or death to any person, property damage, loss of personal property or any other wrongful act arising from or relating to your participation as a member. You and your guests (if any) expressly waive any and all claims against each and every other member/guest in/of the group, including without limitation any and all claims against all Organizers and Event Hosts.
Upper Tampa Bay Trail next to Ballyhoos Restaurant
Let's walk the mostly shady Upper Tampa Bay Trail. We'll meet in the Ballyhoo's parking lot and walk south for approximately 2.5 miles to the Wilsky Blvd trail head. We'll take a 5-minute break and then return the way we came. It's about a 45 minute walk each way. There are no restrooms at the start location but there are restrooms and water at the Wilsky Blvd trail head. This walk is at your own pace and there is no requirement to go the whole distance. The total distance will be 5.2 miles. Park either in the Ballyhoo parking lot or the unpaved lot next to the trail or the unpaved lot on Ehrlich road. Parking is free.
