What we're about
I really would like to start meeting people who are interested in the discussion of the relationship with food and the addiction that comes along with it. So many of us are now overweight, but many do not understand their relationship to food. Will power is the most commonly blamed notion for our relationship to food, which is unfortunate as it isn't about will power and so we feel so helpless and defeated hearing this.
I really want to start bringing awareness to food behaviour and the emotion connected to our eating that makes it just another substance addiction and not something that is permanent for us. It would be so great to start bringing awareness to our eating habits and helping people discover their new path to a healthy relationship with food.
If you are interested to learn more, discuss or help set up awareness, I'd love to hear from you. Hear your story and meet up. :)
A little about myself...
I have always had an issue with binge eating. For the past 4 years I have dedicated my spare time to reading and learning about binge eating and food habits to help myself. I have learned so much on this journey and I am binge eating less and less now and my relationship with food is now better understood is great.
But the wider understanding I have gained from this journey has been incredible and priceless. I am now such a peaceful, calm and self-loving human being and understand that the habits that may seem normal in everyday life, although painful, are not set in stone. They are just a behaviour, sometimes connected to painful emotions or sometimes just habit. But the notion that will power and genetics are to blame is such a huge miss-understanding. It would be great to keep on learning and hearing about other peoples stories and promoting awareness through discussions.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing thoughts and ideas to make the voice of healthy relationships to our food and ourselves louder and bolder!
All the best,
