The plan is to car/tent camp at the state park. I have reserved 2 adjacent campsites that will accommodate a maximum of 16 people, 8 at each site. We will hike the various trails in the area during the day. Saturday night, for those interested, we will attend the star party at the nearby McDonald Observatory beginning at 9:30 pm. YOU must make your own star party reservations for the night of the 20th either online or by phone.

Davis Mountain Park entrance fee is $12 dollars. Camping Fee is $15 dollars.

NOTE: The star party is of course dependent upon clear skies. In the event of inclement weather, alternative programs are offered according to the reservation.

No pets on this outing please. Bring your favorite food and drinks. Grills are available. There is a shower facility and restrooms.

It is an approximate 3 hour, 200 mile drive to the state park from El Paso.
