What we're about

Mindfulness is a way of Life. It is being present and aware in every part of our lives, not just when we meditate. We can be mindfulness when we eat, walk, work, sing, run, and exercise. Being mindful allows us to show up fully as our authentic selves in all our relationships. Mindfulness supports abundant living.

Mindfulness is not about any particular religion or spiritual practice. Although most religions have a form of mindfulness, sometimes called prayer, chanting, reflection, or contemplation.

In our mindfulness circles, we may have stillness, guided reflection, sound, gentle flow movement, writing, or sharing. Each gathering invites you to focus on a different aspect of your Life. We come together is a safe, supportive community. All are welcome. No experience required. Beginners welcome.

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

Smyrna Massage and Wellness

Mindfulness Meditation is the practice of focusing on the present moment and noticing any sensations, feelings, and/or emotions that may arise, and gently bringing your attention back to present without judgement. Group practices include: Breathwork, silent stillness (meditation), guided visualization, walking meditation, and/or gentle movement. Mindfulness Meditation can help improve a sense of well-being, as well as enhance physical and mental health. It is a complement to the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, and can help lower blood pressure and improve sleep. (Source: https://www.helpguide.org/harvard/benefits-of-mindfulness.htm) Beginners and those experienced with meditation are welcome. No prior experience required. Sacred "Sound Bath" Healing Circle

Smyrna Massage and Wellness

During the Sacred "Sound Bath" Healing Circle (Sound Therapy) you will be immersed in the sounds and frequencies of the Tibetan Singing Bowls (both Crystal and Himalayan), Tuning Forks, Chimes, Bells, Drums, Rain Sticks, and of course, our voice...just to name a few. The combination and rhythm of using sound affects the nervous system which in turn begins the reduction of stress in our bodies and minds. Stress is the # 1 cause of disease! The vibration to our nervous system from voice or instruments results in deep relaxation. Sound Therapy is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the Body/Mind of a person with the intention of bringing them into a state of harmony, wellness, and relaxation. All are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat, pillows, blanket if you wish to lay on the floor. Chairs will also be available. $10-$20 suggested love donation. Facilitator: Mary Lampert, Certified Sound Therapist & Reiki Master
