This is my new life drawing class with a bit of a unique spin...FULLY CLOTHED 🙂!
The class is cosplay focused, and will cater for all artists of all levels, from beginners to season pros. A real love for comic art will definitely help the enthusiasm, but not essential. A great social experience and a chance to experience something different as well as develop your artistic skills!
The classes are held at St Marks Church in Hitchin, and will run like a standard life drawing session in terms of timings, with short quick dynamic poses to start with, a couple of longer 20 minute poses, then a 40 minute pose after a tea / coffee break to finish. Untutored for those who just want to draw, but advice and help on hand from myself if requested.
After that, I’m sure a group of us will head down to the pub (closest being ‘The Angles’ on Bedford Road) where the artists and models can have a few drinks and show artwork to each other and discuss techniques.
There will be two models booked each week with varying themes, but based around comic and film characters. The opening night on 19th July was a real blast, with a Star Wars theme featuring Boba Fett and Finn cosplayers.
There will be soundtrack music from appropriate relatable films too, and great lighting set ups to really help push the comic / film noir look.
