Hello Friends! It's time to get out of the house and have fun. I'm starting this meet up on Jan. 1, 2023 as part of my commitment to socialize more this year. It's high time for some in person social interaction, which is a basic human need. So few meet ups today are in person, and I saw a great need.
This will be a simple, easy going group for all adults to get together at various events. I will plan and encourage members to make suggestions as well. I was thinking of hosting events once a week, but if there is lots of interest I may have more than one a week with lots of varied interest type events.
The type of events that I would like to plan include simply meeting for coffee, brunch, dinner, walks at the greenway or parks, board and card games at a coffee shop, a movie night, attending local festivals and events, art walks, museums, day trips, and more.
Please Join the group, lets make new friends, and have fun in person this year.

Let's together and enjoy some Prince music at the Sundown Downtown free concert! If you haven't attended any of these, you're in for a treat. There are usually two to three food trucks on the premises, along with a variety of food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks offered by the venue itself. I have enjoyed attending these all summer. Parking has been plentiful since its after work hours, but I would still advise arriving early if you can. Please bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets as there is no seating at the Commons. No pets, outside alcohol, coolers or vaping is allowed.
Again, I will select a spot for us and you will recognize me by my lime green hat.

Do you like yard sales and train rides? If so, this is the event for you on the Tennessee Central Railway! I heard this was a fun day. Tickets sell out quickly, so if you're interested get your tickets soon. I was planning on adding the wine trip, too, but they're all sold out!

Let's take a walk back in time at Port Royal Historic Park under the guidance of one of the Park Rangers who will tell us about the "Trail of Tears" where we will learn about the removal of the Cherokee Indians from this land. Then, head off to a wonderful buffet lunch at Tandoor Indian Bistro( $15.99).
I registered 4 people for the park tour not knowing how many would be interested, once we surpass that number others will have to register on the parks website listed below. This tour is free.Hope to see you there! I'll have on my lime green hat :)
