Book and Cranny Book Club Meeting
This months book: Killing Eve Codename Villanelle ~ Luke Jennings. Monday nights are rubbish... But wait, they don't have to be! Come along to Leaf on Portland Street (we have a 10% discount on food and they're opening later for us so ignore opening times) for a chat about books, life and no doubt the weather (this is Manchester after all!) This month we will discuss: The book that inspired the most talked about TV show this year/decade/lifetime! Take a tongue in cheek look at what it means to be 007 with a license to kill and let’s ponder just what it takes (and could you do it)? We're a very relaxed and friendly book club so please come along and don't worry if you haven't read the book, watched the film... or cheated and read the wiki page. We'll stay as long as we still have things to say (usually around 2 hours) and pick next months book with a vote so come prepared with suggestions. The £1 fee goes towards paying for the MeetUp subscription and if we make any additional dollar, dollar then I'll be donating it to a local Manchester charity (to be decided at the end of the year). Hope to see you there and any questions just give me a shout.

What we're about

This is the group for you!

Book and Cranny is the most fun you can have between the covers... of a book! We're a
book club in Manchester for 23-35 year olds (except for Stuart - the Goose to my Maverick) and we meet once a month (usually on a Monday).

If you're new to Manchester, want to read more, fancy a good chat with a bunch of bloody excellent people and enjoy a laugh (caveat - we don't take ourselves too seriously!) then what are you waiting for... get yourself to Book and Cranny.

Everyone is welcome! Now in our 3rd year we've got a lovely group of regulars (and often meet up socially - opera, theatre, drinking and most importantly QUIZ NIGHTS!) and we always welcome newbies. We love newbies. They're our favourite.

So what do we read? Well nothing is ever off limits. We've read the good, the bad and the downright horrendous - including poetry, graphic novels, autobiographies etc. We always pick the following months book at the meetup and work to a vote system (so come prepared with a suggestion for next month).

Come on in, the waters lovely.
