What we're about

We want to have fun while improving our communities. Our guiding mission is make sure the kids in our communities are supported to become happy, productive, & community-minded adults. We have a few lead groups in the area (Kiwanis Clubs) that help identify challenges in the area and create projects, fundraisers, etc. to help improve them. We sponsor youth clubs in local schools, so we need adults to serve as mentors and advisors to them; we also occasionally have shared projects with the youth clubs, working side by side with them.

Those that enjoy some hands-on volunteering, or those that want to take a bigger lead in being "in charge" of what sorts of projects are pursued are always welcome!

Pre-School Reading Visit

Needs a location

The Seminole Breakfast Club rotates among over 20 preschools for read aloud visits on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Since we rotate around to different schools, call Lee to find out where the group is visiting on the date you want to participate; we’ll all meet up at same time. [masked]

Reading is a critical life skill and the earlier kids get exposed to the joy of stories and reading, the more likely they are to embrace reading as they get older. Our diverse community of kids also benefits when they have visits from diverse readers - different ages, races, ethnicities, etc. All are welcome. Bring a favorite picture book (or 2), or ask for some recommendations at your local library.
