Let's Go to the Guggenheim!
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in NYC is popular with fans of modern art and architecture. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building is probably the most famous aspect of the Guggenheim Museum, but visitor can also enjoy exploring the permanent collection and the ever-changing array of exhibitions.
The Guggenheim Museum has an extensive permanent collection of modern art from Picasso to Pollock. Tours are included with the cost of museum admission, we we'll take advantage of them. After our visit at the museum, we can stop for lunch at Sfoglia, a beautiful Italian cafe you didn't know you needed after the bright white walls of the museum. Enjoy some of the Upper East Side's best pasta, perhaps staying on-theme with the Guggenheim by ordering the unbeatable spiral-shaped Fusilli, topped with house made ricotta!
