Evening Walk -Albert Park Lake Loop (5km path around lake)

Albert Park Lake loop walk is an easy walk, mostly flat. This walk is about enjoying the surrounds, as well as the walk. Pace will be moderate but will stop for photos & also 10 min break.

Moderate pace is about 15 minutes per km
Faster walkers can do a loop alongside Aughtie Drive, slower walkers can meet us near the Carousel Cafe, or return to the start from a point when get close to Queens Rd.

After the walk, we can/may go to a cafe or pub

this meetup is combined with the Explore Melbourne City Group.

Remember to:
-take care when crossing roads,
-keep to left side on paths (most are shared with bikes)
-Bring water bottle, hat or cap, jacket, sunscreen, etc
-wear suitable clothing and footwear,

• act appropriately in your surroundings.

Finding us: Meet near the "Welcome To Albert Park" sign that's next to Lakeside Drive & near Albert Rd/Lakeside Drive intersection.
Look for me with a multi-colour cap.

If you're are running late, or can join us later, get a tram to Stop 27/High St on St Kilda Rd, walk along Lorne St to the lake & (hopefully) find us near/passing The Park Function Centre.
Alternatively, start walking along the loop path, keeping the lake on your right hand side, and call me on 0402 816644

Getting there:
Trams: Get any tram (except #1) along Swanston St to the Domain Interchange/Domain Rd (which is near end of Kings Domain Gardens).
Then walk 200 metres along Albert Rd to Albert Park Lake

OR: #12 Tram along Collins St, Spencer St goes along Clarendon St South Melbourne, to Albert Rd.
Get off at Stop 130, then walk 200 metres (in an east/towards Queens Rd direction)

[OR: The 55 tram travels along William St & past Queensbridge Square (Southbank) to Park St South Melbourne. Then walk further along Kingsway to Albert Rd.
(or can stay on #55 until Domain Junction & walk along Albert Rd)]

Cars/Parking: There is/should be free parking after 6pm in most of the parking areas in the service lanes (except if close to Queens Rd). If any difficulty try further west or north side of Albert Rd
