An invitation to Join us at the Phone Bank Thurs/ plus Election workers info

We are in the Home Stretch and the finish-line is in sight!

Would you like to join Mercury One Memphis 9.12  in manning the Swing-State Phone-Bank at the Republican Headquarters on Thursday the 18th  from 6:00-8:00 pm? They are keeping the headquarters open late for us that night. Here is an opportunity for those of you who, because of work or school, can't make it to the phone-bank in the daytime or on weekends. If you would like to participate, let me know by tomorrow at noon because I will need to sign you up with folks who are heading up the Phone Bank and give them a final number of workers.  If you can come, we are also planning to grab a bite at Swanky's Taco next door to the headquarters at 5:00.

I just finished my training to be an election worker on Nov 6. They still need more people to be willing to work from 6:00am - 7:30 pm on election day. You would have to go through a two and a half hour training at the election commission. They need workers from both parties but I think they are low on republicans. The pay is $100 - $120 for election day and $30.00 for the training. Election Commission phone number Ph: (901)[masked] and website http://voteshelby.com/FAQ.aspx?QID=66

You could also check with the Party Headquarters  and see if they need any Poll Watchers. The watchers represent a political party or a candidate in the polling locations that observe the election and report any problems that they see to the election officer that is present.

Thank you.  Robin Haraway
