Alex will lead you through an hour long Ashtanga Yoga Practice that will cover the standing and closing sequence.
We will begin practice with the opening mantra and end practice with the closing mantra, recited in Sanskrit, followed by several minutes of rest.
Ashtanga is a systematic practice with a set of progressive postures which build on one another. This system of yoga builds an internal heat, which helps to detoxify the muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
This system of yoga is appropriate for most and is great for building strength and flexibility reaching all parts of the body. Though challenging, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga can bring healing change physically, mentally and emotionally.
Alex is a UNLV student and a native to the Las Vegas valley. While teaching yoga part time he also provides therapy to children and young adults on the autism spectrum.
