Universal Hour of Peace on New Year's Eve

Friday, December 31,[masked]:00 PM - 12:30 AM

School of Metaphysics
6138 North Hillside
Indianapolis, IN 46220

I just received this invitation from the School of Metaphysics to their New Years Eve celebration, and wanted to pass it on to all of you. I went to this event last year, and it was a really excellent, high-consciousness way to ring in the new year!

Universal Hour of Peace on New Year's Eve

We'd like to invite you to bring in the New Year with thoughts of peace. Join us at the School of Metaphysics on December 31st for the Universal Hour of Peace!

What if there is peace on earth for one hour? Every man, woman, and child - will commit to thinking and doing only what will bring them peace for sixty minutes? The Universal Hour of Peace is a synchronized event created by the School of Metaphysics to bring peace into the world for the new year. Our vision is for every person on Earth to dedicate one hour to peace, from 11:30 pm December 31st - 12:30am January 1st.

Please join people of all nations with the School of Metaphysics as we create a peace-filled gathering and fireside discussion with community peace visionaries. The keynote speaker is Dr. Laurel Clark, President of the School of Metaphysics and one of the authors of the Universal Peace Covenant. She will encourage you to foster your own personal vision for peace. At midnight we will recite the Universal Peace Covenant with people all over the world. When we can make peace on Earth for one hour, just imagine what else we can accomplish!

Dr. Laurel Clark, President of the School of Metaphysics, is a member of the cast for "The Invitation," in which she portrays Nobel Peace Laureate Shirin Ebadi. She is also a contributor to the book Peacemaking and one of the authors of the Universal Peace Covenant. The Universal Peace Covenant is a 577-word document that serves as an instrument defining how to think peacefully and live peaceably in a world that is constantly changing.

Community peace visionaries actively creating peace in the community include:

  • Jim Wolfe: Professor of Religious Studies at University of Indianapolis President and founder of the Peace and Justice Center in Indianapolis
  • Chuck Reynolds; Oneness Blessing Giver
  • Angela Leddy: Board member and ministerial studies student at the Church Within

Peace on idea whose time has come.

If you have questions, please contact us at the School of Metaphysics at 317.251.5285. RSVP is recommended.
