Lets explore the Lowell Folk Festival!

Details
Looking for an unforgettable way to spend your Saturday? The Lowell Folk Festival returns with an explosion of culture, food, music, and art that takes over downtown Lowell — and you're invited to experience it your own way!
Location: 246 Market Street, Lowell, MA
This isn’t your typical structured meetup — no attendance will be taken, and you’re free to arrive, explore, and enjoy at your own pace. Whether you're showing up with friends, flying solo, or making new connections on the spot, you’ll find something magical waiting around every corner.
🎤 What to Expect
Live music and performances from around the world on multiple outdoor stages. From Appalachian string bands to Afro-Caribbean rhythms, it's a nonstop jam session of global sound.
A massive Food from Around the World court, offering flavors like Cambodian skewers, Dominican tostones, Greek loukoumades, Polish pierogi, and more (don’t forget dessert!).
A vibrant Art & Makers Market, showcasing regional and international crafts, clothing, jewelry, and other handmade works.
Interactive cultural exhibits and dance performances happening throughout the day.
Check out the full event schedule here and plan your day around what excites you most!
🚗 Getting There
Parking can be found at garages and lots around downtown Lowell — we highly recommend reviewing the official directions and parking info in advance. Public transit is also available via the Lowell Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail.
👋 Meetup Info
I'll be wandering around and soaking in the music, food, and energy from 12–5 PM, but feel free to come earlier (music kicks off around 11 AM) and stay late into the evening — there's plenty to see and do all day long. If you happen to spot me, come say hi! Otherwise, this post is simply a way to share and celebrate an incredible (and free!) community event happening in our own backyard.
Bring your friends, your appetite, your curiosity, and a blanket or chair if you plan to hang out at the stages for a while. Let’s enjoy the day and celebrate the cultures that make our region so unique!
