What we’re about
Welcome Miami writers! We are an in-person group that provides a community for Miamians to come and write together. Have a short story you're writing? A book? A plot outline that you're developing? You're more than welcome here. We host the following events:
- Shut up & Write! We go to a book store or cafe and write in silence next to each other. If you make it to the end we go out for food and/or drinks afterwards!
- Relax, Read & Rewine. Over our mailing list we anonymously distribute excerpts written by our members. Each excerpt is assigned to a member. That member then leads a group feedback discussion on the excerpt in order to help out the original author. All this happens over some nice wine, of course.
- Writing Prompts. Every so often we pass a writing prompt over the mailing list. Next time we gather we share each others responses and discuss the prompt in more detail.
