Calusa Blueway Festival

The Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival and Lee County Parks & Recreation welcome you.

The annual Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival is among the fastest growing paddling festivals in North America. When many places are feeling the late-autumn chill, Southwest Florida continues to provide the perfect location for canoeing, kayaking and SUPing along sugar-sand shores and Gulf waters. Join us Nov. 1 – 3, 2013 in Fort Myers-Sanibel. Enjoy 75-degree weather, companionship of fellow paddlers and newcomers to the sport, and -- of course -- activities such as demos, speakers, instruction, evening socials, a film festival & photo contest, live music, fishing tournament, races, group tours, club paddles and more.

Festival Hours:

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday & Saturday, Nov. 2-3; 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 on the Causeway Evening events are at 6 p.m. Thursday, Friday & Saturday, Nov. 1-3

The weather did not cooperate, but the vent was wonderful - especially the on-water instruction sessions. It was wonderful to have such experienced instructors teaching safety, rescues and strokes. The vendors and demos were a great experience too.
