Again, I`m not pointing fingers at anyone, nor does anyone have to apologize. As an author/writer, I live in the19th Century and being so imersed in the culture and morals, affects MY outlook is different than most others.

I did have a great time w/Tony et al, playing R. Keinzer's LotR and I did meet some nice people later on, but again' there are others who I know by sight who have never approached or even acknowledged my presence, even w/me standing around like a lost soul in Grand Central Station. I was just lucky that members of my FIU gaming group showed up.

Well, when I get back, I'll try to fix this. Thanks for letting us know!

I'm hoping to play a game of "Here I Stand" with someone who has played before. I've attended the meet-up before but never as a member here in the group.

Hey Christopher! I have only read the rules for this title. Thus, the need for an experienced player. But, if you want to wargame something easier/more familiar I am up for it!

It was Okay...had a decent time, part of it influenced by games that required a lot of study beforehand, especially for first time players...Terra Mystica for one. The staff at CS are fine individuals, but to this date I still have not met most of or been introduced to or have individuals from this group come up to introduce themselves to me...or others. I did meet a nice group of people, but if it wasn't for my small group from FIU showing up, then it would have been a bit odd. Sorry, I know part of this is my upbringing and my life experiences, BUT...if I'm supposed to be part of an (alleged) group...shouldn't long(er) term members of the group not take it upon themselves to make someone feel welcome?

I was there on Saturday as a first-time newbie to the monthly event. I simply do not know who is or is not part of "the group" other than Tom because he is the out front leader. Regardless, I had a great experience! I met two new people who share similar gaming interests: John and George! ( I just need a Paul and Ringo!! :-)). George introduced me to others via email as well. I know where Andrew is coming from, unless you "work the room" it's not obvious who or who is not in the group. Complicating matters it was free RPG day, and the store was packed with "other gamers". Perhaps some signage that has "Miami Boardgames Group" near the leaders table would help? <P.S. had to correct some typos and delted my earlier comment>
