What we’re about
Who we are: The Mid-Atlantic Western Mystery School Study Group is an independent interregional group that explores the philosophies and concepts of Kabbalah through a modern lens. Kabbalah is a spiritual wisdom path, rooted in mystical Judaism, that seeks to strengthen the link between the spiritual and physical world. The Kabbalistic Tree of Life is the primary symbol of study that sheds light on deeper spiritual principles that are the underpinnings of our everyday lives. Though ancient doctrine is valuable, translating the fundamental principles using modern day experiences and thought provides an opportunity for the spiritual framework to influence our fast-paced, western lives.
What we do: This group studies a branch of Kabbalah that assimilates key principles from other disciplines that amplify meaning to the modern westerner. Such modalities of amplification include tarot, astrology, depth psychology, and more. Classes will examine philosophies, concepts, symbols, energies and applications, both on the macro/universal level and the micro/personal level.
Eric and Marybeth will facilitate classes that will include lecture, guided meditation, and lively discussion. With a combined five decades of study in this tradition, which is passed primarily "from mouth to ear,” they are members of a larger Kabbalistic body and offer these classes as their contribution.
Who should join: Whether you're new to Kabbalah or have an extensive background in the Western Mystery Tradition, you are welcome to join us.
To accommodate schedules and distance, the classes are offered free of charge on Zoom.
