What's your favorite kind of middle eastern music, artist, or song?

Where do I start? Aswat locally, and Qadim Ensemble. Recently was turned on to Musaique out of several different countries in the Middle East, and Diwan Saz that does Sufi and similar (with a modern turn) with Dvir Cohen Eraki. And I have to pay homage to Nusrat Ali Khan, a giant by any standard, any region, any country. Looking forward to learning more! (BTW, was recently given two CDs by Aswat from their live concerts. Just amazing. What a great group!)

Do you play a musical instrument or sing (definitely not required for joining, but great to know)
