September 6th 6:30-9:30 pm. Start at the store, move to Gulf Beach.
This hands-on shooting workshop will focus on night photography photograph stars and/or light painting. We will provide a brief lesson on the Live Composite feature on the Olympus cameras, and then move to a live hands-on shoot. Olympus will provide cameras for your usage, so please remember to pack a SD memory card. Experiment with different and creative lighting techniques and elevate your photography knowledge with us!
Live Composite is a live bulb mode that is exclusively found on Olympus cameras. This feature allows you to take a base exposure photo, and then continues to shoot in intervals until you disable it. It will only add new light values to the image composite, allowing you to light paint for hours! (Also very handy for in camera star trails with zero editing!). With a dSLR you would have to stack dozens or hundreds of layers and then process them, quite possibly with masking, in Photoshop or other editing software.
This workshop will be led by Lisa and Tom Cuchara and Olympus Rep Eric Sives, with assistance from Milford Photo's Jesse Thompson and Chris Fountas
Things to bring:
Olympus will provide cameras, however current Olympus shooters are welcome to bring their Olympus camera to learn this menu feature along with us. This event is for Olympus enabled cameras only.
