The East Side Tomato Romp! (Milwaukee's Caged Tomato Fight)

Please feel free to use this page's comments section to meet up with other people who are there.  The original event host, Jason, chose not to go because it turned out the event is not family-friendly, and he intended to have his 3 year old and 5 year old niece and nephew watching him in the fight.  But you can still fight on!

You can get your tickets at the will-call booth at 1901 E. North Ave - near Beans & Barley.  The fight will be held at the parking lot near the intersection of Murray & Thomas.

Full schedule:
- East Side Green Market 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
- Tomato Chomp Crawl 11 a.m- 6 p.m.
- Bloody Mary Challenge 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Cast Bloody Mary Challenge Ballots by 3 p.m.
- Tomato Fighter Late Check Ins: 3 p.m.
- Sidewalk Dance Over To Fight with Samba Unit  3:30 p.m. (Wisconsin Conservatory of Music)
- TOMATO FIGHT  Opening Ceremony starts at 4 p.m.

The Bloody Mary crawl was fun, next year we need to start together. And the cage fight? Bring a hazmat suit!

Since the event is not family friendly, I have to back out. I have my 3 year old and 5 year old niece and nephew who were going to watch the fight, and if the festival is on the raunchy side, I am forced to pass. I hope everyone who is there has fun.

I think you should be okay for the fight. I wouldn't take them on the bloody crawl.

For those who are there -- a friend is saying that the festival does not seem family friendly (ie not good sights for young kids). What's your take?

Feel free to sign up! I changed the hours slightly to indicate that I'll be there by 1:00 PM. Everyone who is in for the fight at 4 can register together at that time. I'm buying my tickets now. :)

It's on! I'll be at the event at 1:00 PM. I intend to participate in the Bloody Mary Challenge and the Tomato Romp, which starts at 4:00 PM. If you're there early, please feel free to use this page's comments section to meet up with other people who get there early.

Everyone who's participating in the fight, let's get together around 1 and pick up our tickets / register together. Our team shall vanquish all our foes in gooey tomato doom.

I will be there for the early stuff - bloody mary challenge. If anyone wants to meet me at the registration table at 10:30am. (I'm also probably going to just watch the tomato fight...)

Sorry I didn't see your post until now. It's a no pressure thing, so if you bring your kids no one is going to yell at you. They might throw tomatoes at you. But that would be part of the fun. :)
