Add Some Noise To Your JavaScript Workflow With Grunt
Presented by Ryan Anklam, @bittersweetryan

Lint, run unit tests, mininify, concatenate, rinse, and repeat. As complexity is added to your front end projects these mundane tasks can start to take up a signifnant amount of time. Grunt is a JavaScript task runner that works on all of the major platforms and makes doing repetitive tasks as simple as setting up a configuration file and running the grunt command. With an exhaustive list of plugins to chose from there is a Grunt solution to meet any projects needs.

Writing Neighborhood Friendly Applications
Presented by Paul Sanchez, @basicdays

When you write JavaScript, it’s easy to write code for one page without worrying about its impact on other scripts. But when you start working within a large application with many other developers, you now need to be aware of your impact in your software neighborhood.

I’ll provide some techniques to help organize JavaScript pages into modules using the closure pattern, provide easy ways to help namespace all of your functions and objects, and provide easy ways to encourage code re-use using prototypes with new HTML5 techniques.
