Joel Clermont (@jclermont (http://twitter.com/jclermont)) will be presenting on his experiences using Knockout.js as described here:
There are quite a few mature JS frameworks available today. It can be challenging to figure out which one is right for your team or your project. This talk will not attempt to compare and contrast numerous frameworks. Instead, it will focus exclusively on Knockout.js. The experiences shared will be based on real-world usage, not a shallow impression based on poking at a tutorial or demo. The goal is to answer the following questions:
How does Knockout.js work? What is the motivation of the framework? (What problems is it trying to solve?) What is it good at? What problems did I face with it? Joel will also dispel the myth that Knockout is only for .NET developers or Microsoft enthusiasts. In fact, he has only used it with PHP applications and APIs, so he can speak strongly to that point.
Joel will demo real production code he built with Knockout and leave room for any questions you may have.
