About the Talks:
10 Easy Ways to Fail at BDD
In my work, I come across many organisations who desperately want to enjoy the benefits of practicing BDD, yet set themselves up for failure.

Growing new practices in your teams is a lot like growing plants: you need to create the right environment for the changes to take root and establish themselves. Did you ever bring one of those basil plants home from the supermarket, and three weeks later it was all limp and brown and, well, a bit dead?

In this talk I’ll give you 10 common companies, despite their best intentions, ensure their BDD adoption will fail. Then, I’ll tell you what you can do about it.

Testing at the Speed of DevOps With BDD and Product Analytics
Building quality software is the price of doing business today. How we build that software is complex and changing. Feature requests change over night, timelines are accelerated, and more stakeholders are invited into the process. That’s the rise of DevOps which enables teams to speed up the number of daily deployments. However, traditional testing approaches still struggle to maintain quality at that pace. But, there are exciting new ways! During this talk, Vincent will present the way Hiptest bakes quality into the entire development process from idea to production.

First the Hiptest team leverages Behavior Driven Development to define the idea in collaboration and get early feedback. The main goal is to ensure that all teams (development, QA, product) are aligned on what the new feature should do thanks to examples. Then, these examples are turned into automated checks to ensure the code complies with what was defined previously. Once the new feature is in production, product analytics gather data about the usage and some feedback about the newly deployed feature.
