The Milwaukee Web Design May Meeting

  • May 29, 2008 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is no longer available

MAY MEETUP ANNOUNCED! For our May Meetup, we will be holding a roundtable discussion on content management frameworks instead of having a single speaker. Do you
Drupal? Or would you rather
Joomla? Are you a
Wordpress master? Would you rather have you or your customers just
Contribute to their sites? Did you grow your own? If you haven't played with any of these content management frameworks, this will be a great opportunity to hear others' experiences. If you have worked with these or any other content management systems, please share your experience, good or bad, with the group. We will have a laptop with projector on hand to demo projects so you can show how you have used this system or that.
MEETING LOCATION CHANGE For the summer, we will be meeting at Mercy Hill Church, located inside of the historic Hide House in Bay View. The Hide house is located at the corner of Greely and Dover streets. Here is a map: The entrance to the church area where we will be meeting is right at the T intersection of the above streets. There is PLENTY of parking available, including a free lot across the street.
START THINKING ABOUT OUR JUNE MEETUP For our June meetup, we will be holding a show and tell. We'll be looking for volunteers before, during, and after the May meetup, so start thinking about what you have built, found, or find useful on the internet.
CARE TO COMMENT? As always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to say "Hi", please feel free to
contact the organizer. This is your group, make it what you want it to be.

Good topic. I develop my own CMS for use on my clients sites, but it was good to here about the other options out there. I have to thank who ever mentioned 'Code Ignitor'; great stuff :) !
