ML/AI Split : Solving business problems using NLP, Davor Runje, CTO at Airt

"NLP focused techniques in business related problems solving"

Airt’s co-founders, Hajdi Ćenan and Davor Runje, revealed to us this summer news on their new algorithm for learning and predicting customer behavior from structured data. After more than 6 months of preparation, they applied for a patent for its global protection in July.

They used the pitch session of the Infobip Startup Tribe members that was held at the conference in Zadar to announce that they will enable developers to use their system via API – in that way, developers can use powerful products and solutions without a need to research and know much about them.

"Deep learning kickstarted a revolution in natural language processing and today we have a successful general technique for tackling a wide range of problems, from simple ones such as sentiment analysis to complex ones such as text summarization and translations, all available with a few API calls to cloud services.
Inspired by these NLP focused techniques, we started looking into how to tackle business related problems with a similar approach.
The result of this research is a general technique for solving business related problem on event data, currently achieving the state-of-the-art result on a problem of fraud detection previously held by IBM.
In this talk, I’ll give you an insight on the process that created such a result, from early NLP based experiments to the actual industrial applications" - said Davor

Davor Runje - co-founder and CTO of a well-known company for innovative AI solutions - Airt - is coming to visit us for the next meetup.

In addition, Davor is also a startup mentor for AI in the BIRD incubator, a lecturer in Algebra, president of CISEX and much more, but primarily a person who has a couple of successful AI startups with international success such as ZASTI.
